Fight Scene Friday™ is back this week, and it's back with a vengeance! This week's scene is a short film from Kevin Le. He wrote, directed, and starred in this one, and this is a short film he should be proud of! Great action, and an intriguing story. It seems like this will be an ongoing series. Check it out, this is awesome! :

[Fight Scene Friday] Shaolin Avengers | Martial Arts Action Film 少林英雄 (2025)

Fight Scene Friday™ returns, and this week's scene is the latest short film from Martial Club! They've been hyping this one up for quite a while, and it's finally on YouTube! It's a martial arts comedy, with homages to Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, and even Stephen Chow, among others! The fighting is fast and furious in this one! Check it out, you won't regret it!

[Fight Scene Friday] JACKIE CHAN STYLE Playground Fight

Fight Scene Friday™ returns, and this week's scene is inspired by Jackie Chan! Here is the synopsis from the Description: "Hilarious action-comedy playground fight inspired by the signature Jackie Chan style. Omar Zaki is being pursued because of a special briefcase he has. Can he use his fighting skills to prevent the briefcase from being captured?"

The choreography is really good in this, and they captured the spirit of a Jackie Chan fight scene really well. Check it out, you won't regret it!

[Fight Scene Friday] Shawn v Alex: Shawn of Justice

It's Fight Scene Friday™, and this week we have another reunion between The Stunt People forum members. This one has a lot of inside jokes, plus the action is really good! Check it out! Shawn Bernal is still a beast!

[Fight Scene Friday] Team Internet Presents: Surprise Visit

It's Fight Scene Friday™, and this time Jay meets up with some friends in Las Vegas! It is good to see these guys doing a fight scene together again! I used to watch their videos (that they did together and separately) on the Stunt People message board, YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and anywhere else they were posted. I miss those days! It is good to see most everyone from the Stunt People message board have some success in the movie/video game making industry! Check this scene out, it's short but sweet!

[Fight Scene Friday] Bounty

This week's Fight Scene Friday™ scene comes from Jay Kwon and his crew, and is about bounty hunters dealing with their bounty and each other! This scene features Caitlin Hutson (the bounty hunter in red), and she kicks butt in this! This short film has some great choreography, with awesome martial arts performers executing it. Check it out:

[Fight Scene Friday] Turtle Wave - Civil War (Ip Man 3 Parody)

On this Fight Scene Friday™, we have an homage to Ip Man 3 (2015) from the Turtle Wave crew. In this scene, an MMA fighter proves he can still be a screen fighter. Some nice choreography and comedy in this one! Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] Jumpers

It's the first Fight Scene Friday™ of 2024, and this week's scene is the latest short film by Vlad Rimburg! Apparently, this is inspired by the movie Jumper (2008). It's got some good fighting action and some cool special effects! Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] White Elephant Battle Royale

It's the Fight Scene Friday™ before Christmas, and this year's fight scene is a short film released by Jabronie Pictures! In this one, we see how stunt people celebrate Christmas! This short film was done in 48 hours, and it is impressive how good it came out! Having worked on short films myself, I know how long things take to set up, and how long (sometimes) it takes to get the perfect take, so kudos to everyone on this crew!

I just wanted to wish everyone happy holidays!

[Fight Scene Friday] The Company Man From Nowhere (Tribute Fight)

This week's Fight Scene Friday™ scene is a tribute fight from the Sloyer Stunts crew! From the description: An ex company man returns to stop injustice...starting with a young hit man. This short film is a tribute to the Korean films A Company Man (2012) and The Man From Nowhere (2010) (both of which I have reviewed on this blog). This is a great tribute with excellent choreography. Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] Arthur

This week's Fight Scene Friday™ scene is a short film by the Sloyer Stunts crew! I'm not sure how to really describe it without spoiling it, so I'll say that Arthur (played by Yoshi Sudarso) goes to a fortune teller and gets some bad news. He decides to do something to prevent something from happening, and things escalate from there. Really interesting story in this one, and the action is hard-hitting and fierce. Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] S E S S I O N S

This week's Fight Scene Friday™ scene comes from the Lazy Brown Productions crew! Here's the synopsis:

3 friends meet up for some light training & sparring.. or so they think.

I must say, things escalate very quickly in this one! Awesome choreography, and it's hard-hitting! Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] HOW TO DEFEAT THE NUN

It's Fight Scene Friday™, and we're down to our final Spooky Season fight scene! This week's scene has the Martial Club showing us how to defeat The Nun. You can bet I took some notes! Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] BAR FIGHT | Martial Arts Horror Short Film

It's Fight Scene Friday™, and it's spooky season, so this week's scene is an award-winning short film from Benjamin R. Moody and starring Aaron D. Alexander (who also choreographed it). The synopsis is: When a machete-wielding cult walks into a bar, one bartender is in for the longest night of his life. This is very cool, with nice choreography that gets brutal at times. Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] Yukue Fumei

It's Fight Scene Friday™, and this week's scene comes from Jordan Okubo and his crew! A young man is looking for his missing sister, and things happen when he finds her! This one is really cool and really creative. Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] Fight or Flight - Old Challenger

It's Fight Scene Friday™, and this week's scene comes from the Sloyer Stunts crew! This one stars D.Y. Sao (in the white jacket) and Jay Kwon (in the red jacket). As you will see, these guys are talented martial artists, and the choreography is top notch! Excellent stuff here! Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] Kung Fool at School

After having no internet for three weeks, Fight Scene Friday™ is back! This week's scene is a close-quarter fight scene from Martial Club and Shaun Charney. Very cool to see Martial Club and Shaun Charney back before they became big, again. Really cool stuff in this one! Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] Do the Damn Thing: The Andy Long Experience (2010)

For this week's Fight Scene Friday™, we see the time Andy Long met Jay in America. Let's just say, their plans don't end up working out... This was one of my favorite scenes back in the day; it was so funny to me. The action was great as well, with lots of creative choreography and great comedy. Check it out!

[Fight Scene Friday] FIST OF FURY (2020)

This week's Fight Scene Friday™ scene is a short film from the Martial Club crew. Fist Of Fury (2020) is an homage to Fist Of Fury (1972) and to the character of Chen Zhen, most notably played by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan (New Fist Of Fury, 1976), Jet Li (Fist Of Legend, 1994), and Donnie Yen (Fist Of Fury TV show, 1995; and Legend Of The Fist: The Return Of Chen Zhen, 2010). Andy Le plays Chen Zhen in this one, and he embodies the rage and fight for justice that Zhen is all about. Brian Le plays the General (from Fist Of Legend) as an impenetrable wall Chen Zhen must get through. The fights are fast and hard-hitting, and there is a lesson to be learned at the end. There are homages to the Bruce Lee, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen versions of Chen Zhen throughout. Check it out!
